No Time To Die, the latest James Bond movie, has earned decently well at the Indian box office in its first six days. The collection of the film in India in this period is Rs14.10 crore nett, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com. The movie has performed the best in the northern region.
No Time To Die has seen ups and downs in its e numbers. After opening with Rs2.35 crore nett on Thursday 30 September, it made Rs2.15 crore the next day.
The film then saw a good jump on the next day, Saturday, reaching Rs4 crore. But just when it was expected to record a further rise on Sunday, it slipped and only collected Rs3.50 crore. Thereafter, as expected, No Time To Die saw its collections fall on Monday and Tuesday, making Rs1.10 crore and Rs1 crore, respectively.
The film is expected to earn similar numbers in the remaining working days of this week. BoxOfficeIndia.com pointed out that the movie has earned 10% less than the recent Hollywood release Shang Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. That film had greater mass appeal in India as it was a Marvel production.
One needs to remember, however, that like other film releases of the recent past, the Bond film, too, wasn't released in Maharashtra, the state that generates the maximum revenue for films, as theatres are only set to reopen on 22 October.
Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, No Time To Die stars Daniel Craig in his final turn as James Bond along with Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux and Naomie Harris.
