Actress Mrunal Thakur has wrapped up her portion of director Raja Krishna Menon's Pippa. The film, which will also feature Priyanshu Painyuli and Ishaan Khatter, is based on the book The Burning Chaffees.

The actress shared some behind-the-scenes pictures of herself on the sets of the film, stating, "Playing Radha in Pippa has been an experience that can’t be described in a few adjectives. I’ve only learnt & grown as an actor (sic)."

She added, "While my part in this beautiful piece of art has been done, this spectacular project still continues & when it’s ready we can’t wait for you to witness it."

Written by Brigadier BS Mehta, The Burning Chaffees deals with the 1971 liberation of Bangladesh. The title of the film, Pippa, refers to the amphibious war tanks PT 76, which were key to the success of the operation. Khatter will play the role of Brigadier Mehta in the film.

The film is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The makers had unveiled the first-look poster of the film on 15 September, with Ishaan Khatter atop the eponymous tank. Both Khatter and Painyuli are expected to continue to shoot for their portions. The film is being shot in Amritsar and Mumbai.

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film will also feature Soni Razdan in a key role.
