The latest music video from Punjabi actor and singer Gippy Grewal’s album Limited Edition is out. The song ‘Bandook’, which translates as ‘Gun’ was shared by the actor on Twitter with his fans.

Featuring Tanu Grewal, the song has been written by Ricky Khan and the music is by Redroom Studio. A folk-inspired tune, the song is average, with a moderately catchy melody.

The music video has been directed by Harry Chahal. Shot overseas, the song features shots of the landscape and the couple romancing each other in different locations, driving around and meeting in restaurants.

The song sings praises of the Punjabi woman, played by Tanu Grewal, who brooks no nonsense. When she is accosted by some hooligans, she promptly slaps one of them soundly. In fact, the title, ‘Bandook’ refers to the woman, who when sitting next to a Punjabi man, seems like a gun has been slung by him. To stress the ‘Punjabiness’ of the woman, Tanu Grewal is dressed in traditional attire throughout, while Gippy Grewal is in western clothes.
