It's been a decade since music composer Atif Afzal entered the music industry with his first song 'Jag Saare Badle' for the Marathi film Pune 52 (2013). The song was sung by Shalmali Kholgade. It bagged four nominations and won the prize for best song at the Mirchi Music Awards.
The duo later worked together on 'Aala Aaala Baaji' for the film Baji (2015) starring Shreyas Talpade and 'Kap Kap' for the film Prague (2013).
Atif, who started his musical journey with Kholgade, believes she has been his lucky mascot.
"Some collaborations are always fruitful and this is one of them. All the songs and films we got together for were different in genre and style. I hope we get together for a song sometime soon!" the composer said.
He is now working on a reprised version of 'Jag Sare Badale' with Kholgade. The song will be released soon.
Atif is also working on Hollywood projects like CBS Networks' NCIS: Los Angeles and The Twilight Zone.
