Satyameva Jayate 2 song ‘Meri Zindagi Hai Tu’: John Abraham, Divya Khosla Kumar spend a romantic moment

The song ‘Meri Zindagi Hai Tu’ from Milap Zaveri’s Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021) is set in a different world from the film's trailer which was recently released. While the promo was full of outdoor fight sequences and stunts, the song is a soft, romantic ballad set in opulent surroundings.

It is not often these days that you get to hear simple, old-school songs about love where both the guy and the girl are highlighting each other’s importance in their lives. The simplicity of this song stems from Manoj Muntashir’s easy lyrics.

The use of beats even in a slow, romantic number by Rochak Kohli gives a Nadeem-Shravan feel to the song. This ensures that the track can double up as a foot-tapping number. ‘Meri Zindagi Hai Tu’ has Jubin Nautiyal’s goodness all over it. It’s a track tailormade for him. Neeti Mohan is impressive with her vocals.

Satyameva Jayate 2 has John Abraham apparently playing quite a few characters. The one featuring in this song is the politician and his wife, played by Divya Khosla Kumar. The occasion is the Karwa Chauth festival. The dance steps of the two artistes do not match up. While Divya is free-flowing, John appears restricted.
