Ravii Dubey, Ravi Kishan are pitted against each other in Matsya Kaand

Actors Ravii Dubey and Ravi Kishan are playing pivotal characters in MX Player's upcoming thriller web-series, Matsya Kaand.

Directed by Ajay Bhuyan, the show will see Dubey play a con man named Matsya Thada and Ravi Kishan in the role of Tejraj Singh, an assistant commissioner of police (ACP).

The makers have revealed the character motion posters of both actors where they have been presented with a lot of fanfare, style and foot-tapping music. Dubey is seen holding a playing card, the king of spades. Ravi Kishan, as you would expect, is holding a smoking gun.

Dubey said in a statement, “This project is really special for me. Playing Matsya Thada is such a creatively and personally fulfilling experience and I am hoping that this first-look motion poster will leave you intrigued to know more about the show. The trailer comes out on 28 October. Stay tuned to know more.” 

Speaking about his character, Ravi Kishan said, “Viewers will see me in a very different avatar as ACP Tejraj Singh. Like every coin has two sides, Matsya’s Kaand would be incomplete without me.”

Ajay Bhuyan has directed a few web-series in the past like the first three seasons of Little Things and Parchayee. He has also directed films, including the Vir Das-starrer Amit Sahni Ki List (2014).
