Uma poster: Kajal Aggarwal is a mysterious stranger


The family drama, directed by Tathagata Singha, features the actress as a Good Samaritan who changes a family’s lives.

In the first look poster of the upcoming film Uma, Kajal Aggarwal is a mysterious stranger out on a mission to help a family.

The actress shared the poster online which showed her character Uma leaning against a wall, while the photos of the said family are lined up along it. A few interesting and unique objects an umbrella, a gramophone to origami animals are placed strategically around the actress.

Furthermore, the film’s title font is a mix of the Latin and Devnagari scripts. As Uma, Aggarwal enters the lives of this aristocratic family, just as a wedding is to take place, and changes their dynamics.

The slice-of-life film, directed by Tathagata Singha, is produced AVMA Media’s Avishek Ghosh and Miraj Group’s Mantraraj Paliwal. Announced this June, Uma was completed in a start-to-finish schedule, complying with all COVID-19 protocols, in July-August in Kolkata.

The feature film has an ensemble cast that includes Tinnu Anand, Harsh Chhaya, Meghna Malik, Gaurav Sharma, Shriswara and Ayoshi Talukdar.

Aggarwal’s recent releases include the Hindi film Mumbai Saga (2021) and the Telugu film Mosagallu (2021), which was released on the same day in the theatres this year, 19 March.
