Hum Do Hamare Do song 'Vedha Sajjeya': Sachin-Jigar deliver a soulful wedding track

Wedding season is just around the corner and the makers of Hum Do Hamare Do have released a new song that perfectly captures Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon's characters' excitement to tie the knot.

Composed by Sachin-Jigar, 'Vedha Sajjeya' is a soulful track whose video sees the entire cast wrapped up in the wedding rituals of the lead stars.

Sachin-Jigar layer the slow tempo with dholak and guitar. Because it's a wedding song, the shehnai is also heard, but the composer duo has used it sparingly at the crescendo. 

Rekha Bhardwaj's earthy vocals beautifully complement this semi-folk tune. Varun Jain also rises to the occasion with an equally soothing performance. Shellee's lyrics are sometimes difficult to understand for non-Punjabi speakers but they fit the music.

Hum Do Hamare Do has been directed by Abhishek Jain. The film is slated to be released on  Disney+ Hotstar on 29 October.
