It seems that no matter what film is being remade as a potential Hindi blockbuster, heroics must be played up. The Marathi film Mulshi Pattern (2018) received acclaim for its depth and intriguing story, which seem to have taken a back seat in the Hindi remake Antim: The Final Truth (2021), where Salman Khan's hero cop character hogs the limelight. Also starring Aayush Sharma, the film will be released in theatres on 26 November.

The trailer begins and ends with Khan's turbaned cop delivering punchlines and punches galore. Sharma plays an up-and-coming gangster whose ambition knows no bounds. His only obstacle is a particular Sikh police officer who seeks to maintain the balance between order and chaos.

Entertaining and packed with smashing one-liners that are guaranteed to keep the Khan's key demographic content, the project appears to be a hyped-up action-packed version of the Marathi crime drama.

The original, directed by Pravin Tarde, was a more earthy meditation on the real-estate mafia. The Hindi version, helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Salman Khan Films, is a gangster drama with the older actor at the heart of everything. Despite being the leading man technically, Sharma has little space to truly show off his heroics.

Check out the trailer and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
