Box office: Diljit Dosanjh’s Honsla Rakh records impressive second weekend

The Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Punjabi movie Honsla Rakh (2021) had an excellent second weekend, making Rs3.03 crore nett, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com. The best collection came from the East Punjab region.
After finishing the first week with a collection of Rs12.35 crore nett, Honsla Rakh earned Rs73 lakh, Rs96lakh and Rs1.34 lakh on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The movie's grand total at the domestic box office currently stands at an impressive Rs15.38 crore.
The second-weekend business of Honsla Rakh is the best in the post-pandemic period. The previous record was held by Qismat 2 (2021), which had made Rs2.90 crore nett in its second weekend.
Honsla Rakh has also been released this week in Maharashtra in around 20 cinema halls. Theatres in the state were allowed to reopen last Friday.

Meanwhile, Bhavai (2021) became the first Hindi film to be released last week after theatres reopened in Maharashtra. But the collections of the film starring Pratik Gandhi have been too poor to report.
