Some trailers leave you speechless. The promo of Milap Zaveri’s Satyameva Jayate 2 is one such, for all the wrong reasons. The over-three-minute clip makes you wonder if the makers actually want viewers to take the film seriously or it is an elaborate spoof of patriotic action films.
Also, one isn't sure if John Abraham is playing three or four characters.
So try wrapping your head around this: We see John play an anti-corruption crusader who slaughters criminals, just like his character in the first film. A politician, also played by John, gets sleepless nights because of the crimes committed by the first John. So the politician gives the task of ending the menace of the first John to a fearless police officer who, hold your breath, is also John!
There’s more. In the flashback scene, we see twins whose dead father is also played by John! As one can recall, the protagonist had dual identities in the first film. This could be the case here, too, with two characters being the same and this would mean the actor might be playing three characters.
The trailer is just a compilation of over-the-top sequences that make you laugh without meaning to. At the same time, the dialogues make you wince. The lines can’t even be called outdated.
With such an unintentionally hilarious trailer, it is difficult to take the performances seriously.
