Zee5 has announced the online premiere of the Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta-starrer Qismat 2 which will be released on 29 October 2021, as part of the celebrations for the festive season. Directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, the film takes up the theme of unrequited love from Qismat (2018) and follows the story of Shiv and Bani once again. The film has had a very successful run at the box office.
The OTT platform Zee5 recently made its foray into Punjabi-language content. The platform had launched the ‘Rajj Ke Vekho’ campaign, which promised to premiere straight-from-the-theatre titles from ZeeStudios online.
The success of the Ammy Virk, Sonam Bajwa film Puaada on the platform was followed by that of Jinne Jamme Saare Nikamme directed by Kenny Chhabra, which became the first Punjabi film to be launched on an OTT platform.

Virk said, “The first chapter of Qismat had received immense love from audiences across the country. We as a team wanted to give Qismat 2 to the audience as a gift. Qismat 2 will be available for them to watch anytime and at any place via the OTT premiere. I truly hope everyone loves watching this film just as they enjoyed it in the theatres."
