Box office: Honsla Rakh stays strong as it enters second week


The Punjabi film, starring Diljit Dosanjh, earned Rs75 lakh on its eighth day and is expected to reach the Rs16 crore mark on its second weekend.

The Punjabi film Honsla Rakh (2021) earned Rs12.35 crore in its first week and made an additional Rs75 lakh on its eighth day at the box office, taking its total to Rs13.12 crore nett. According to figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com, the Diljit Dosanjh-starrer could reach the Rs16 crore mark on its second weekend.  

Honsla Rakh has been released in Maharashtra as theatres in the state have been finally reopened after being shut since April, but the film had its biggest collections from Northern India where it registered big numbers in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Additionally, the film earned an impressive $1.83 million (Rs13.50 crore) internationally in its first week, taking its global earnings to around Rs28 crore.

Directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, the family comedy also stars Sonam Bajwa, Shehnaaz Gill and introduces Shinda Grewal.
