Jai Bhim trailer: Suriya’s film promises to be a powerful courtroom drama

Suriya’s upcoming Tamil film Jai Bhim, which will be premiered worldwide on November 2 on Amazon Prime appears to be a powerful courtroom drama. 

Going by the film's trailer, which was unveiled on Friday, it looks like Jai Bhim’s best moments will unfold in the courtroom. 

The film, which is based on true events that happened in the 1990s in Tamil Nadu, sees Suriya play a fearless lawyer who fights against caste-based discrimination. 

The fast-paced trailer takes us into the life of a hardworking tribal couple, Senggeni and Rajakannu. Their world falls apart when Rajakannu is arrested on false charges and later goes missing from police custody. Sengenni in her efforts to find her husband seeks the help of advocate Chandru (Suriya), who takes it upon himself to unearth the truth against all odds to bring justice to the tribal woman.
