Release of Milap Zaveri's Satyameva Jayate 2 advanced by a day to 25 November

The film, starring John Abraham, was earlier scheduled to be released on 26 November along with Salman Khan's production Antim.

The release of John Abraham's action feature Satyameva Jayate 2 has been preponed by a day to 25 November.

At the beginning of this month, the makers had announced the release date as 26 November, but now they have decided to release the film on Thursday instead of Friday, going into the weekend with a slight advantage.

The makers released a new teaser for the announcement, featuring a shirtless John Abraham tossing aside two goons while the Ashoka Pillar looms in the background. The gun and holster worn by the actor add to the feel of the renegade cop in pursuit of justice.

The new release date also ensures that John's film will avoid a head-to-head clash with the Aayush Sharma- and Salman Khan-starrer Antim on 26 November.

While the makers have not given any reason for the change of dates, it is a coincidence that John's film has twice headed for a clash with a Salman Khan feature.

Satyameva Jayate 2 was initially scheduled for release on the Eid-ul-Fitr weekend this year, which would have meant a clash with Salman Khan's Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai (2021).

However, the second wave of the pandemic in India meant that T-Series held Satyameva Jayate 2 back while Radhe took the direct-to-OTT route with a release on Zee Plex.

Produced jointly by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Nikkhil Advani's Emmay Entertainment, Satyameva Jayate 2 will see John Abraham in a double role. Divya Khosla Kumar, Bhushan Kumar's wife, has been cast opposite John in the film.
