Planet Marathi to start music section featuring variety of songs

The recently launched over-the-top [OTT] platform Planet Marathi, which streams original web-series, movies, short films and old Marathi films, is set to start another section called Planet Marathi Sangeet.

A statement from Planet Marathi read, "In this section, the audience will get to hear traditional as well as modern songs. We will provide them with film, non-film, exclusive and non-exclusive songs. People will also get to hear songs from the originals produced by Planet Marathi. Along with this, we will also present karaoke, folk music, music concerts and music gatherings (sic)."

Speaking about this new section, Akshay Bardapurkar, founder of Planet Marathi, said in a statement, "The main aim of Planet Marathi is to provide entertainment to the audience. We always keep thinking about how to entertain the audience and keep giving them something new. While doing this, we always keep in mind to ensure our traditions are not left behind. That’s why we have also included devotional songs in our music line-up."

He added, “As per the promise made to the audience, Planet Marathi Sangeet will soon be brought in front of them. The audience has already given a positive response to our movies, talk shows and web-series. It is because of this response that we get the strength to keep trying something new. I am sure the music section will be appreciated by the audience."
