The Kunal Kemmu- and Shweta Tripathi Sharma-starrer Kanjoos Makkhichoos had gone on the floors recently on Ganesh Chaturthi. The crew wrapped up the film on Dussehra on Friday.
Sharing his happiness at the completion of the shooting in such a short time, Kemmu wrote on Instagram, “In and as Kanjoos Makkhichoos!! We started the film on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chathurthi and completed it yesterday on Dussehra.”
Sharing his experience of shooting for the film, the actor added, “It has been a fulfilling and enjoyable journey. I can’t wait for you guys to meet my character Jamuna Prasad Pandey and to share this warm, funny and endearing family film with you. See you soon at the movies.”
This is Kemmu’s first film after Lootcase (2020), which was released online last year.
Kanjoos Makkhichoos is the Hindi directorial debut of Gujarati filmmaker Vipul Mehta. He is best known for his previous film Chaal Jeevi Laiye (2019), which is still playing in cinemas in Gujarat.
His other directorial ventures were Jalsa Karo Jayantilal (2005), Best Of Luck Laalu (2017) and Carry On Kesar (2017). He has also been a writer of Hindi and Gujarati television shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Koshish... Ek Aashaa.
