Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story teaser – Kay Kay Menon takes us back to where it all began

The teaser for the Kay Kay Menon-starrer Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story was unveiled on Thursday and takes us back to where it all began for the young RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent Himmat Singh.

The 25-second teaser gives us a glimpse into Himmat Singh's past and what transpired in 2001 that turned him into the man and special agent that he is. Aftab Shivdasani and Aadil Khan make blink-and-miss appearances in the teaser.

Talking about the all-new universe, Special Ops 1.5 director Neeraj Pandey said, “We always envisioned Special Ops as a multi-layered franchise which would be leveraged on characters, scale and format innovation. We are excited to expand this universe with Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story on Disney+ Hotstar before the second season."

Producer Shital Bhatia said, “Keeping up with the scale and high production aesthetics of Special Ops 1.5 was challenging during the lockdown. We hope audiences enjoy the show as much as we loved making it.”

Apart from Menon, the series stars Aftab Shivdasani, Aadil Khan, Vinay Pathak, Parmeet Sethi and KP Mukherjee.

The first season of Special Ops was released in March 2020 and revolved around special agent Himmat Singh who is on a hunt with five agents for the mastermind of 2001's Parliament attack.
