Rajkummar Rao signs on for Anubhav Sinha's next film Bheed

Director Anubhav Sinha has signed on Rajkummar Rao for his next film, Bheed. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and T-Series, the film will go on the floors in November 2021 in Lucknow. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared news of the collaboration on Thursday. The film will mark Sinha and the actor's first onscreen partnership. 

Speaking to Filmfare.com, the director said, "To me, Raj is a very intriguing actor. One of the very few actors who can be so successfully transparent in a story. There always was a keen desire to work with him. I’m really looking forward to it."

The filmmaker has just wrapped up the making of another film, Anek, with Ayushmann Khurrana. The film was to be released on 17 September but has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts caused by the pandemic. The filmmaker is also producing director Hansal Mehta's action-thriller Faraaz. 

Rajkummar Rao will soon be part of Abhishek Jain's Hum Do Hamaare Do, alongside Kriti Sanon, which will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on 29 October.
