The Kartik Aaryan-starrer Shehzada went on the floors yesterday at a massive set erected in Mumbai. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, son of filmmaker David Dhawan and brother of actor Varun Dhawan, the film also stars Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar.
The makers have described Shehzada as an “action-packed musical family film”. It will be shot in Mumbai and Delhi in the coming months and is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Allu Arvind, S Radha Krishna and Aman Gill.

Sharing his happiness at the film going on the floors, Bhushan Kumar said, “I’ve been wanting to mount a big-scale family action-packed musical film for a long time. I’m excited to be teaming up with Rohit Dhawan, Allu Arvind and Aman Gill on this film, I’m eagerly looking forward to the magic Kartik, Kriti, [composer] Pritam and the rest of the team will create in Shehzada.”
Shehzada will see Kartik and Sanon teaming up for the second time after Luka Chuppi (2019).
Aman Gill added, “Rohit has been working diligently and passionately over the last year to mount Shehzada in the biggest possible way. We all are excited to back his vision in bringing this film to audiences on the big screen in theatres next year. Allu sir and I are very happy to collaborate with Bhushanji for this film.”
Shehzada is slated to be released in theatres on 4 November 2022.
