Akshay Kumar completed the shoot of his upcoming movie Raksha Bandhan in Delhi last night. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film also stars Bhumi Pednekar. The news comes just three days after the actor wrapped up his as-yet-untitled movie with Bell Bottom (2021) director Ranjit M Tewari.
Sharing a goodbye note on Twitter, Akshay said, "Here’s to all I and Aanand L Rai did throughout the shoot of Raksha Bandhan - laugh like there’s no tomorrow! Ironically, as we wrapped the film last night, there was a bittersweet tinge of sadness. Off to the next. New day, new roller coaster."

The film was announced on Raksha Bandhan last year via a poster. As per the title, the film is about a bond between Akshay's characters and his sisters.
Raksha Bandhan had gone on floors in Mumbai in June this year and that schedule was completed in August. The makers had erected a set that resembled the Chandni Chowk locality in Delhi.
Apart from Raksha Bandhan, Akshay is also a part of Rai’s Atrangi Re, which also stars Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan. Akshay recently hinted that the film might be released directly on an over-the-top platform.
Raksha Bandhan will be released in theatres on the 2022 Independence Day weekend on 11 August.
