Rashmika Mandanna, who recently unveiled a glimpse of her character from her first multilingual pan-India film Pushpa, expressed her gratitude for the love she has received from her fans and audiences.
"It's so gratifying to receive such heartwarming compliments for my first look of Pushpa," Rashmika said.
"I was really nervous and excited but I'm really glad and thankful for all the love the audiences have showered on Pushpa," she said.
The first look sees the actress in a rustic avatar, sitting in a yellow saree, with a bunch of flowers.
Pushpa gave Rashmika an opportunity to explore a different side of herself. "It's my first multilingual pan-India movie, and I believe it has given me an opportunity to explore a different side of myself as an actress. It's going to unlock yet another milestone and I can't wait for my fans and audiences to see me bring alive the character of Srivalli which is the film’s soul."
Rashmika plays Allu Arjun's love interest Srivalli in the Sukumar-directed film. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on 17 December.
Pushpa, which also stars Fahad Faasil as the antagonist, is reportedly based on the smuggling of red sandalwood in Andhra Pradesh’s Rayalseema region.
Apart from Pushpa, Rashmika will also be seen in Mission Majnu alongside Siddarth Malhotra and Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan.
