The incredibly busy Kartik Aaryan finished shooting for Freddy, a romantic thriller by Shashanka Ghosh, on Thursday and the next day, the makers were ready to celebrate the film's milestone.

Producers Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani threw a wrap party for the entire cast and crew yesterday night at the Asian and Latin American restaurant Tori in Khar, Mumbai.

Besides the lead actor, co-star Alaya F, director Ghosh and others were present at the bash. Nisha Sareen, Ramesh Taurani and his wife Varsha, Akshay Puri and Anita Hassanandani also attended the event.

Kartik shared on Thursday photographs from a smaller celebration on set. “A character that will always stay like a shadow with me,” the actor stated in his caption.

He will be seen soon in the Netflix film Dhamaka (2021) while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, co-starring Kiara Advani and Tabu, is due to be released in theatres next year on 25 March.

Speaking about the project, Kapoor said, "When it is hard to bid goodbye to a set, you know that you have successfully created a world that will strike a chord with the audience. Freddy is one of those films. There was no better way to wrap the shoot than celebrating it with the entire team. I can’t wait for everyone to see the magic that Kartik, Alaya, Shashanka and the team have created on-screen.”

Sharing his excitement, Shewakramani added, “We all had a blast while shooting the film, and we wanted to finish on the same note as well. Freddy is one of the most inspiring scripts, and the team elevated the entire project. I wanted to celebrate their hard work and passion that brought the vision alive.”

Freddy is jointly produced by Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films. It marks the first collaboration between the two production houses.
