Gippy Grewal song ‘Fark’: A cautionary tale against drinking and driving

The impactful number features music by Desi Crew and lyrics by Sunny Randhawa.

Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal’s latest song from the album Limited Edition, ‘Fark’, is a song of lament where a lover mourns the passing of his beloved.

Featuring music by Desi Crew and touching lyrics by Sunny Randhawa, the song has been sung by Grewal who also features in the music video. The number begins with Grewal’s partner saying that she is fine to drive even though she has had a few drinks but an accident takes place wherein she loses her life.

Although the song is a sad one, the tempo is fast and the mood largely comes from the lyrics which accentuate the lover’s pain at being left behind and the irreparable loss that he now faces in his life. The video ends with the message, ‘Drunk driving is a killer disease’, underlining the social message of the video.

Released by the label Humble Music, the song has garnered more than 2 million views on YouTube since its recent release.
