Malayalam superstar Mammootty is finally teaming up with talented new wave filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery for Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam.
The film will also mark Mammootty's maiden venture in film production under his newly launched banner Mammootty Company.
Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam's screenplay and dialogues are by S Harish while the story is by Pellissery himself. The film is said to be a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual and will be shot at Pazhani and Velankanni.
Theni Eswar, who shot Mammootty's Peranbu (2019) and the upcoming Mammootty- and Parvathy Thiruvothu-starrer Puzhu (2021), is the director of photography on the film.
Meanwhile, Mammootty recently wrapped up the foreign schedule of his upcoming Telugu project, Agent. which stars Akhil Akkineni.
Mammootty also has some exciting projects like Bheeshma Parvam in post-production.
