Actor Sharib Hashmi is all set to share screen space with Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in the upcoming Hindi remake of the Tamil crime drama Vikram Vedha (2017). The actor recently shared the news with his fans on Twitter where he also revealed the name of his character in the film.

Hashmi, who is known for his projects such as Filmistaan (2014), The Family Man (2019) and Asur (2020), will play the character named Babloo.

Although it's too early to guess which character from the original film he is playing in this remake, in a reply to a fan's tweet, the actor confirmed that he is not playing Vedha's brother in the film.

If one has to make a calculated guess, he might be playing Vikram's friend, a role essayed by Prem Kumar in the Tamil film.

In the remake, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan will play a gangster and cop, which were originally played by Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan. Pushkar and Gayathri who helmed the original Tamil film are also directing the remake.

Roshan recently wrapped up a major action sequence for the film.

The Hindi remake will be produced by Neeraj Pandey under his banner Friday Filmworks in association with Reliance Entertainment and YNot Studios, which had also produced the original film.
