Malayalam actor Maanav wins Best Actor Award for Irumbu at Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Madrid

Malayalam actor Maanav has bagged the Best Actor Award at Spain's Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Madrid (FICIMAD), for his performance in the award-winning movie Irumbu.
The actor has already won as many as 25 Best Actor awards at various international film festivals, including the Cannes World Film Festival in France. The film has also won more than 40 awards at various national and international film festivals.
Irumbu is the first directorial venture of Pradeesh Unnikrishnan. Nithin Narayanan has written the story, which asks what is the right degree and form of punishment for a crime like rape.
Apart from Maanav, the film also stars Sreesha Venugopal, Rupesh, Ravi Vazhayil, Parvathi Sriya, Smitha, Mahi and Aji. The music for the film has been composed by Midhun Murali while the project has been edited by Sreejith Kalaiarasu.
SK Nair has produced Irumbu under the banner of the Gateway Films Group.
