The trailer of Arindam Bhattacharya’s upcoming Bengali-language film Antardhaan offers glimpses of a thriller in which a girl gets kidnapped in picturesque Himachal Pradesh. As her parents begin searching for her, a series of shocking incidents unfold.

Starring Parambrata Chatterjee, Tanushree Chakraborty and Mohar Choudhury, Antardhaan is Mukherjee’s third film. Rajatava Dutta, Harsh Chhaya and veteran actress Mamata Shankar will feature in the film.

In the trailer, Zinia (Choudhury) goes missing after she leaves for a trip with her friends. After her father Anirban (Chatterjee) and mother (Chakraborty) lose contact with her, they find out that the trip had been cancelled. Based on the reference of a photo of  Zinia, the police begin searching for her. Eventually, Niladri Sen (Dutta) from the CID's missing squad steps in.

The visuals suggest that the plot gets more complex with the involvement of the negative character played by Chhaya. Desperate to rescue their daughter,  the parents seek the help of a mystic [Mamata Shankar], who gives them insights into Zinia’s plight.

The trailer fails to generate many expectations as Chatterjee appears somewhat casual while Chakraborty seems to go overboard with her performance.

Antardhaan is slated to be released in theatres on 10 December.
