The teaser for Srimanta Sengupta’s film Abar Bochhor Koori Pore (2022) introduces a group of close friends who are reunited after 20 years.

Starring Abir Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Arpita Chatterjee and Tnusree Chakraborty, Abar Bochhor Koori Pore highlights the nostalgic sentiments in the Bengali middle class.

Arun (Abir) calls Dutta (Ghosh) to inform him that he is arriving in Kolkata and asks to meet over drinks. The excited Dutta proposes to invite their teenage friends Nila (Chakraborty) and Bonnie (Arpita) too, but Arun doesn’t have much hope of their participation as Nila is busy with her family and Bonnie doesn’t want to associate with him any more.

As Dutta continues to insist on the idea of a reunion, the visuals go back to their teenage days of fun and mischief. While Arun comes across as a practical fellow, Dutta seems rather innocent and optimistic.

By revealing the teenage avatars of the four friends, the teaser makes it evident that the plot of the film goes into flashback mode numerous times. In the present, Nila and Bonnie, who are initially hesitant for their own reasons, eventually get together with Arun and Dutta for a happy reunion.

Abar Bochhor Koori Pore is slated for a theatrical release in January. Watch the teaser below and let us know if you are keen to see the film.
