The shoot of the Adivi Sesh-starrer Major, which is based on the life of the late major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, has wrapped up. The makers have also announced that the film is set to be released in theatres on 11 February 2022 in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam.
Sandeep sacrificed his life while fighting a group of terrorists during the dastardly 26/11 attacks in Mumbai in November 2008.
The announcement has been made through a behind-the-scenes video, which mostly features Sesh preparing and shooting for various scenes.
As the film deals with the 26/11 attacks, one gets to see the recreated versions of the incident, especially the fire on the Taj Mahal Hotel in South Mumbai.
The video also provides a glimpse of the rest of the cast including Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murli Sharma.
Important to me not to just dub #MajorTheFilm in Hindi.

So we actually shot it in Hindi. Proper.
Every scene.
Every thought.
Every feeling.
As per the makers, the crew shot for 120 days across 75 locations and eight sets. Sesh has revealed on Twitter that the makers have shot the film separately in Hindi. “Important to me not to just dub Major The Film in Hindi. So we actually shot it in Hindi. Proper. Every scene. Every thought. Every feeling (sic),” he said.
Three days after the release of Major, the Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha will be hitting the theatres on Monday 14 February.
