Subhasree Ganguly’s look in Saptaswa Basu’s upcoming film Doctor Bakshi was unveiled on the actress’s birthday today. The actress will be playing the role of vlogger Mrinalini Sen in the film, which is a spinoff of Basu’s previous film Pratidwandi (2020).
Doctor Bakshi will star Parambrata Chatterjee as the titular character while Bonny Sengupta and Maahi Kar will also be playing crucial characters.
In the poster, Mrinalini can be seen holding a knife and her facial expression conveys the feeling of helplessness and desperation. The poster is set in an operation theatre, and Mrinalini is framed by broken glass.
In the film, Mrinalini attends an event on Bengali New Year, where a murder takes place. The same event is attended by Aditya (Sengupta), a criminal recently released from jail. Along with Mrinalini, classical dancer Shraddha (Kar) gets entangled in the unforeseen chaotic situation. Eventually, Doctor Bakshi appears and takes charge.
Doctor Bakshi is slated to be released on Eid next year.
