Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui first look: Ayushmann Khurrana, Vaani Kapoor keep it sassy

The first look poster of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021) indicates that the key romance in the film revolves around a gym.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor are a couple in love in the feature directed by Abhishek Kapoor, and as the poster says, they keep it sassy. The film’s stars shared the colourful, neon-lit first look yesterday. “Yeh aashiqui kuch alag hai [This love story is different!],” Khurrana captioned his post.

Backed by the thumping Punjabi song of the same name by Jassi Sidhu, the visuals show a man lifting weights, while a woman seems to be doing an aerobics exercise. The poster then shows the couple in a passionate kiss.

Set in the actor’s hometown, the film has been directed and produced by Abhishek Kapoor. The progressive love story sees the actor bulk up to play the part of a cross-functional athlete. Vaani’s background in the film has not yet been revealed.

The trailer of the film is due to be released on 8 November, while the film will be out on 10 December. The film was scheduled to hit the screens on 9 July.

Vaani was last seen in Bell Bottom (2021), starring Akshay Kumar; this will be Khurrana’s first release of the year. He was last seen in the Amazon Prime film Gulabo Sitabo (2020), which was the first Hindi film to be released digitally during the pandemic.

This is Abhishek Kapoor’s first film in three years after Kedarnath (2018).
