Underwent months of rigorous physical training to look intimidating in Squad, says Rinzing Denzongpa

Rinzing Denzongpa, the son of veteran actor Danny Denonzpa, is making his acting debut in the action thriller Squad. The film, which has been written and directed by Nilesh Sahay, is about a special force commando who is tasked with saving a little girl.

The film will see Rinzing doing some risky acrobatic stunts. At a virtual press conference that was held to release the film's action-packed trailer, the actor revealed that he had to undergo physical training for a couple of months in order to get in shape for this role. "The first thing I needed for this film, was that I had to look intimidating, I had to look like special force commando, If I knock someone out with just one punch it should look believable so I underwent a couple of months of rigorous training to gain some muscle mass. Thankfully, I've had basic martial arts training since childhood, so things were not very difficult for me. Also, we had people from Poland to train us," the actor said.

The film had International crew members such as Kier Beck, who worked on Mad Max: Fury Road (2015); camera assistant William Humphris (Quantum of Solace, 2008); and stunt choreographer, Maciej Kwiatowski (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, 2015).

Denzongpa revealed that it was an amazing experience working with an international crew. "They were so experienced and skilful that everything would get done just quickly without any issue.  I also felt quite safe in their hand. You can see in the trailer that I'm dangling in the air, and there are a few more such dangerous action scenes, and thanks to such an amazingly talented crew, I never felt any pressure during those death-defying stunts".

Squad will also feature Malvika Raaj, who is returning to films after almost 20 years, as well as Pooja Batra, Mohan Kapur and Amit Gaur.
