Salman Khan’s Antim: The Final Truth (2021) is the star’s second film this year. The feature film, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, had an average opening day yesterday, earning Rs4.75 crore nett, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

A remake of the Marathi film Mulshi Pattern (2018), Antim also stars Aayush Sharma. The opening-day collection is decent but way below what is expected for a film starring Salman Khan.

The Hindi film has obviously done well in Mumbai and in the Nizam / Andhra territories. The film might have a harder time finding an audience outside of Maharashtra, where the story is based.

Antim, which was made on a budget of Rs45 crore, according to trade sources, will need to find a good audience over the weekend to break even.

Meanwhile, Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021), starring John Abraham in multiple roles, saw a significant dip after its opening day with Antim's release yesterday. The action drama earned just Rs1.85 crore nett, taking its earnings so far to Rs4.85 crore nett. If the film’s collections dip any further on Saturday, it will have a huge hole to climb out of.

Sooryavanshi (2021), starring Akshay Kumar, collected Rs85 lakh nett on its fourth Friday, taking its total collection at the domestic box office to a little over Rs185 crore nett. If the film can somehow get to the Rs195 crore mark in the week to follow, it will become Akshay Kumar's third highest grossing film after Housefull 4 (2019) and Good Newwz (2019).
