Zeishan Quadri will be starring alongside Anshuman Pushkar and Mukti Mohan in the upcoming movie Ishq Chakallas, which is based on relationships.
The film features Rajesh Sharma, Jagdish Raj Purohit and Dipika Chikhlia, who is known for her role as Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic TV show Ramayan.
Directed by Hupu Ashok Yadav, the film is expected to go on the floors by the end of this month and will be shot in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Quadri said in a statement, “You can say this film is all about the complications of love; ups and downs of relationships and has got authentic characters as well as a whole different world with weird characters. I’m sure it will be fun to watch this film (sic).”
Quadri is known for his quirky character Definite in Anurag Kashyap’s iconic Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012). But he said he is moving away from his gangster image in this film. “This will be a different role from what I’ve done in the past. [It] won’t be a gangster type movie. It will be more like a kind-hearted person who has a soft corner somewhere for his love (sic). Due to its crazily weird characters and a whole different world, this would be a different movie to watch,” he added.
Sharing the reason for doing this film, he said, “The director had narrated this movie some time ago. The film is quirky and will depict a different world, a different environment. The reason I took up this role is due to the multiple characters in the film. I always look forward to working in films with several characters.”
He added, “Honestly, I’m super excited to work with the ensemble cast. We shall see a lot of young promising talents here along with actors who are more experienced than me. I’m personally looking forward to learning new things and I think it will be a fun ride.”
