Filmmaker Santhosh Ananddram has reacted to rumours about a film being planned on the life of the late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who succumbed to a massive cardiac arrest on 29 October

When a fan recently asked Santhosh on Twitter if he had any plans to make a Puneeth Rajkumar biopic, the filmmaker replied, “I’ll try my level best to bring this idea on screen.”

The filmmaker and superstar, who was fondly called Appu by his fans, had collaborated on the Kannada blockbuster Yuvarathnaa (2021).

Puneeth had completed filming for the Kannada film James but for one action sequence. He hadn’t dubbed for the movie, but the makers are still confident about releasing it in cinemas

James has been directed by Chethan Kumar, who had worked with Puneeth in the blockbuster Kannada film Raajakumara (2017).
