Abhimanyu Dassani and Mrunal Thakur's Aankh Micholi to be released on 13 May 2022

The makers of director Umesh Shukla's next film Aankh Micholi have announced that it will be released in theatres on 13 May 2022.

The film stars Abhimanyu Dassani and Mrunal Thakur. It also features Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Divya Dutta, Abhishek Banerjee, Darshan Jariwala, Grusha Kapoor and Vijay Raaz.

The cast of the film made the announcement of the release date while sharing the first poster. The poster features the long cast line-up in a celebratory mood at a typical Indian wedding.

The film is said to be about a family of misfits and the trailer clearly gives the feeling that this is a colourful family entertainer.

Aankh Micholi is Shukla's next feature film after 102 Not Out (2018), starring Amitabh Bachchan and the late Rishi Kapoor. Earlier he had directed Dhoondte Reh Jaoge (2009), OMG: Oh My God (2012), and All Is Well (2015). In 2019 and 2020, he directed a couple of seasons of an Eros Now web-series on prime minister Narendra Modi titled Modi: Journey Of A Common Man.

Aankh Micholi is produced by Sony Pictures India, Umesh Shukla and Ashish Wagh's Merry Go Round Studios.
