The song 'Tu Mera Ho Gaya Hai' from the Tara Sutaria and Ahan Shetty-starrer Tadap is a sweet romantic track that sounds similar to most love songs created for Hindi cinema nowadays.

The song, composed by Pritam Chakraborty, is a hummable earworm but the not-so-innovative arrangement lends it a commonplace flavour. There seems to exist a template for romantic songs, and almost every composer resorts to it.

The song starts off with Saurabh Shukla confronting Ahan Shetty about his unrequited love. The rest of the song revolves around the courtship between a couple played by Shetty and Sutaria, who romance each other against the backdrop of picturesque landscapes and monuments. They both seem to have good chemistry.

The vocals by Jubin Nautiyal, one of the busiest singers in the business, play a big part in making the song palatable. He adds much-required depth to the otherwise ordinary tune with his soulful singing. The lyrics by Irshad Kamil are simple and capture's the hero's obsession with his lady-love.

Directed by Milan Luthria, the film will be released in theatres on 3 December 2021.
