The Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra-starrer Hit: The First Case will be released on 20 May 2022. The news was shared by the actress on Instagram on Saturday.
She shared an old picture of the film’s unit and wrote, “We are hitting the theatres with a swooning mystery thriller, Hit - The First Case on 20th May 2022 (sic)."
The film is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name, which was released in 2020. It starred Vishwak Sen. The Hindi remake will be helmed by the Sailesh Kolanu, who had also directed the original. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kuldeep Rathore and Dil Raju.
Meanwhile, the makers of the Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul-starrer Jug Jugg Jeeyo have announced that their film will be out on 24 June 2022. The project marks the next directorial venture of filmmaker Raj Mehta, who made a successful debut with Good Newwz (2019). This film is also being produced under the same banner – Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The 2019 movie also saw Advani play a pivotal role.
The first pictures of the film show the lead cast celebrate the wedding of Dhawan and Advani’s characters.
