Mismatched (Season 2) is coming soon, reveals director Akarsh Khurana

A year after the first season of Netflix’s Mismatched went live, the makers have revealed that the follow-up is all set to be released soon.

Directed by Akarsh Khurana, the show stars Rohit Saraf, Prajakta Koli, Vidya Malvade, Vihaan Samat, Ranvijay Singha, Devyani Shorey, Muskkaan Jaferi and Taaruk Raina.

Looking back at the first season, Khurana said in a statement, “I didn’t know what to expect going into Mismatched. When we opened it up to the world, audiences accepted Dimple [Koli], Rishi [Saraf] and everyone else as their own. The show received immense love that was unfathomable and I am forever grateful for all the appreciation it has received.”

The makers have also shared the first look of Saraf and Koli from the second season. It's a breezy romantic picture where the couple is seen spending a cosy time in a park.

Sharing his excitement for the second season, he added, “It’s been a rollercoaster of a year but I am so glad I get to continue working with Netflix and my team to bring more of Mismatched to the world, with deeper dives into all the characters that are now so popular. We’re coming soon, and I’m a perfect mix of excited and nervous.” 

Khurana recently came up with the feature film Rashmi Rocket (2021), which starred Taapsee Pannu. 

The first season of Mismatched revolved around genius coder Dimple and Rishi, a hopeless romantic who has lost all faith in love.
