The Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha was supposed to arrive in theatres on 14 February 2022. The makers have now revealed that the film will be released on Baisakhi, which falls on 14 April.

Aamir Khan Productions also tweeted a new poster on Saturday, writing, “We are happy to share our new poster and our new release date.”

The poster shows Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan sharing a moment. Also depicted is a beautiful house surrounded by yellow fields.

Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya. Speaking about his experience of working with Khan, Naga had said earlier this year, “Whatever I’ve learnt in the last twelve years, I learnt more in the last forty-five days. He’s got this amazing magic that can rub off on people, and he doesn’t do it on purpose. His dedication to cinema — he’s in tune with every craft as much as he is with acting. He always talks about the content first, numbers and packaging come in the end. That’s something I learnt from him.”

Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump (1994).
