Prabhu Deva to star in Ashish Kumar Dubey's Hindi film Journey

The film's shoot will begin in mid-2022 and will be shot extensively in Agra and Europe.

After deciding to take a break from directing and focus more on his acting career, Prabhu Deva is on a film signing spree. The ace choreographer, director, and actor, whose thriller film Pon Manickavel was premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar today and has the films Theal and Bagheera ready for release, has now signed on for his next Hindi film.

Titled Journey, the film will be directed by Ashish Kumar Dubey. The film will be produced by  Anjum Rizvi and Ashish Dubey under the banners Anjum Rizvi Film Co, Mad Films Entertainment and Stag Films Entertainment.

This is their back-to-back third collaboration after the Shreyas Talpade-starrer Welcome To Bajrangpur and Guddu Ki Dulhan. Both films are yet to be released.

According to makers, the film will go on the floors in mid-2022 and will be shot extensively in Agra and Europe. Makers have kept the details about the film's plot and the rest of the cast and crew under wraps.

This will be Prabhu Deva's first Hindi film as a lead actor. He has, however, starred in several Tamil films which were later dubbed and released in Hindi.
