After Cargo (2020), Arati Kadav is coming up with yet another futuristic film set in space. The yet-untitled short stars Ali Fazal as an astronaut.
The actor shared the first look from the film on Instagram. In the picture, Ali Fazal is seen in an astronaut's gear.
The 35-year-old actor said the genre is something he had not dabbled in before and he is keen to see how the audience receives it.
"It was more like an experiment to try and pull this off in some very unlikely conditions, but that's a surprise for all for later," he said in a statement. "We tried to fit a large concept into these frames, I do hope people like it because if they do, we will go five steps further into the unknown and start churning out the rest of this film — yes, there might be versions left to showcase."
The film was shot in September in Mumbai over a period of four days. This is Kadav's third successive project in this genre after Cargo (2020) and 55 KM/Sec (2021). The makers haven’t yet revealed the rest of the cast but have said the film will be released online soon.
Ali Fazal was most recently seen in the Netflix anthology film Ray (2021) and in the web-series Call My Agent: Bollywood (2021). He is currently shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's film Khufiya (2022).
