Preity Zinta becomes mother of twins, Jai and Gia, via surrogacy


The 46-year-old actress, who is married to Gene Goodenough, revealed the names of the babies in an Instagram post.

Actress Preity Zinta and her husband Gene Goodenough have welcomed two new additions into their family. The couple announced the birth of their twins — Jai and Gia — via surrogacy in an Instagram post on Thursday.

Announcing the happy news, the 46-year-old actress wrote, "Hi everyone, I wanted to share our amazing news with all of you today. Gene and I are overjoyed and our hearts are filled with so much gratitude and with so much love as we welcome our twins Jai Zinta Goodenough and Gia Zinta Goodenough into our family. The actress also thanked the doctors and their surrogate "for being part of this incredible journey". "A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and to our surrogate for being part of this incredible journey. Loads of love and light — Gene, Preity, Jai and Gia," she wrote.

Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough tied the knot on 29 February 2016, after which Zinta moved to Los Angeles. 

Zinta's last big-screen appearance was in Neeraj Pathak's action-comedy Bhaiaji Superhit (2018), where she was cast opposite Sunny Deol.
