Diljit Dosanjh to voice animated series alongside Hollywood stars

The singer and actor will join a host of A-list actors including Ricky Gervais, Natasha Lyonne and JB Smoove.

Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh is scaling new heights of success. Having made a successful move from Punjabi films to the Hindi film industry, he will join A-list actors from Hollywood in a new animated series for which he lending his voice. The actor shared the news on his Instagram on Thursday with his fans.

The Hollywood Reporter magazine reported the news about the animated series Fables which will incidentally also launch Bron Digital, the animated division of Bron Media Corp, a production group. The actors lending their voice includes Ricky Gervais, Natasha Lyonne, JB Smoove, Alexa Demie, Anthony Ramos and Zach Woods, amongst others.

The series will include the narration of classic fables such as The Tortoise and The Hare, The Lion and The Mouse and The Boy Who Cried Wolf, which will be placed within a modern context. There are plans for the series to be accompanied by an immersive online community and Fables-themed interactive games. The series will be directed by Azazel Jacobs from scripts by Kyra Noonan. Bron Digital will produce long-form animation for series television, short-form content and features. 

Dosanjh’s latest release Honsla Rakh has been immensely successful and received rave reviews as well.
