Jean-Paul Belmondo's iconic A Bout De Souffle, Christopher Plummer's All The Money In The World to be screened at 52nd IFFI 

The 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will screen films starring the late Jean-Paul Belmondo and Christopher Plummer in its Homage section.

Among the films to be screened are Belmondo's iconic noir drama A Bout De Souffle (1960). Directed by Jean-Luc Goddard, the film is considered one of the most influential works of the French New Wave in the 1960s. Plummer's last film, All The Money In The World (2017), will also be part of the section. The Academy Award winner died on 5 February this year. Tavernier's 1984 drama A Sunday In The Country and Julian Schnabel's Volpi Cup-winning film At Eternity's Gate (2018) will also be showcased. The screenplay for the latter film, based on the life of artist Vincent Van Gogh was written by Jean-Claude Carrière. Tavernier died on 25 March this year, while Carriere preceded him in February.

The festival has also announced a section with the latest releases of contemporary masters including the works of Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Pedro Almodovar, Benoit Jacquet, Hong Sangsoo and Francois Ozon. 

The films included are Weerasethakul's recent Memoria (2021), Almodovar's Parallel Mothers (2021), Benoit Jacquet's Suzanna Andler (2021), Tony Gatlif's Tom Medina (2021), Everything Went Fine (2021) by Francois Ozon and Hong Sangsoo's In Front Of Your Face (2021). These films will be screened in the Masters Of Contemporary Cinema section of the festival,  which is scheduled to be held between 20 and 28 November.
