First-time filmmaker Pradeep Rangrao Laykar's quirkily titled Pirem is an intense romantic drama about love and betrayal.

The film's trailer begins by introducing us to the two newcomers Divya Subhash and Vishvajeet Patil. Jitendra (Patil) is madly in love with his classmate Sai (Divya) but cannot express his feelings. Finally, they fall in love and as they promise each other to spend each moment of their lives together, the trailer takes a dark turn.

Although It’s difficult to make out the story from the two and half minutes of footage, It seems that due to some twist in the tale, she leaves him and our hero, like every other betrayed lover in films, finds solace in alcohol and smoking.

At least from the trailer, it looks like the film has nothing special to offer viewers. We have already seen this kind of story in many films before. The only thing that stands out is Patil's performance. It's too early to say anything but the actor seems to have a good screen presence.

Pirem will be released in theatres on 3 December.

Check out the trailer and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
