Rinku Rajguru is set to star in Ram Mahindra's maiden feature film as a director. The as-yet-to-be-titled Hindi film went on floors on Tuesday.

Rajguru announced the commencement of the shoot by sharing pictures of the pooja ceremony on Instagram.

Mahindra had directed a 46-minute film, Manam, which is available on YouTube where it has received more than 4.7 lakh views.

He has also worked as an assistant director on critically acclaimed films such as Talaash (2012), Kappal (2014) and Mani Ratnam's O Kadhai Kanmani (2015).

The makers are yet to announce anything about the film's plot and the rest of the cast. Interestingly, last year, Mahindra had announced another feature film bankrolled by Sivakumar, Udhayakumar Sridharan, Kamakshi Hariharan, Ram Mahindra and A John under the banners Maayan Cinemas and Manasarovar Pictures.

The project, the crew of which was mostly finalized, was suddenly put on hold. It will be interesting to see if this is the same project.

This will be also Rinku's second Hindi film as a female lead after 200: Halla Ho (2021).
