Shocked to see Aayush Sharma’s transformation from Loveyatri to Antim, says Salman Khan

After playing a lover boy in his debut film, the young actor will be seen in a completely different avatar in the upcoming film.

Aayush Sharma and Salman Khan in Antim: The Final Truth

Aayush Sharma played a lover boy in his debut film Loveyatri (2018). The actor will be seen in a completely different avatar in his next Antim: The Final Truth where he plays a young, dreaded gangster. He has gone through a physical transformation to get the look of the character right.

Salman Khan, the producer of both films and Aayush’s brother-in-law, shared his reaction to his transformation, saying, “I was shocked. There's been a huge transformation from Loveyatri to Antim. He’s worked so hard in the film that his work will be appreciated.”

Mahesh Manjrekar, the director of the film, is also impressed with Aayush’s metamorphoses. “Aayush worked really hard on the physical transformation,” he said. “We needed a very tough-looking guy. I realized this boy has a lot of passion and he’s extremely focused. He knows what he wants to do. I think he has done a brilliant job. Nobody I see in the industry today would have played Rahuliya [his character] so brilliantly and so convincingly.”

Antim is the Hindi remake of Pravin Tarade’s acclaimed Marathi movie Mulshi Pattern (2018). It starred Om Bhutkar as the gangster and Upendra Limaye as a cop. The roles are played by Sharma and Khan respectively in the Hindi remake. Interestingly, Limaye plays a gangster in Antim.

Antim will be released in theatres on 26 November.
