Rakul Preet Singh to play condom tester in Tejas Deoskar's Chhatriwali; see first look

Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in the role of a condom tester in the upcoming social comedy film Chhatriwali (2022). The film is backed by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies.

The actress announced the project by sharing the first look of the film on Instagram. The image sees her holding a large condom packet like a clapperboard. A second image shows her in simple Indian look.

A condom tester is a person hired by big contraceptive manufacturers to check the durability of their products during their acts of intimacy.

The film went on the floors last week. Marathi filmmaker Tejas Deoskar. who directed Madhuri Dixit Nene in her maiden Marathi movie Bucket List (2018), is helming the project, his first Hindi film.

Rakul Preet Singh told The Times of India newspaper that she is excited to be part of the project. "It’s quite an interesting and hatke subject and I am very thrilled about starting the journey of my character," the actress said. "It's important to highlight some issues in a light-hearted way and that has got me pretty excited."

Chhatriwali also stars Sumeet Vyas, Satish Kaushik, Rajesh Tailang, Dolly Ahluwalia and Riva Arora.

Apart from Chhatriwali, Rakul Preet will also be seen in Attack (2022), Mayday, Doctor G (2022) and Thank God (2022).
